This site features my pictures and videos of Vincent D'Onofrio in New York City beginning with my first meeting with him at Joe's Pub on July 22, 2010. Vincent is currently filming the final eight episodes for Season 10 of "Law and Order:Criminal Intent" in NYC. He also has several films due to be released this year and will be directing his next film "Johnny and Me" later this year. Feel free to leave comments and to follow along. Enjoy!

Vincent on creating Bobby Goren at the Actor's Dialogue Panel-September ...
Vincent goes into detail about his acting process and how he invented Robert Goren. With 30 years of acting experience under his belt plus the ability to learn "eleven pages of dialogue in an hour" Vincent came up with Goren's mannerisms, including the Goren lean, his personality and speech pattern, pauses and all.

I loved hearing all the "oohs" and "ahhs" when Vincent was telling how Bobby Goren was developed. It was so interesting to hear the background story and how much that character means to him. He looked so proud, especially when he told people he could memorized 11 pages in an hour. I think when he said he thought people wouldn't be interested in the technical part of acting...he found out he was wrong because people do want to know. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI love watching/hearing Vincent talk about acting; he is so enthusiastic. Eleven pages of dialog in 1 hour - WOW!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nantz and Debra. Yes, we were all impressed when Vincent told us he could learn 11 pages of dialogue in an hour. Especially since he had earlier admitted to having dyslexia as a child. That clip I'll post later. The man is brilliant and an electrifying speaker!
ReplyDeleteThat's even more impressive to learn he had dyslexia and was able to find a way to learn his dialogue. I remember a friend of my brothers had it and we were in his car as he was driving...he told us that someone had to actually point to what hand in order for him to know to turn the wheel left or right.
