Vincent D'Onofrio on Men in Black-September 25, 2011

Vincent talks about the research he undertook in order to create the character he played in "Men In Black" and reveals some amusing details about trying to learn about bugs by watching bug documentaries, which really bored him. That research led Vincent to imagine how a giant bug in human form would actually move and he created the walk with leg braces he found in a sporting goods store. His decision to base the Edgar voice on a combination of Director John Huston and actor George C. Scott's voices is very intriguing. It was fun watching Vincent actually rise to his feet (he's 6 feet 4 inches tall, y'all) to demonstrate the Edgar walk, but he wouldn't do the voice. LOL Just doing some of that "crazy actor shit", that's all!

  1. Thank-you so much again. Really amazing how he puts everything and then some in all his performances, and it certainly shows. And then you have some actors who just show up and collect their money, and that really, really shows. Have a list of actors that I don't waste my time and money on.....

  2. I completely agree, Rose. I don't know what Vincent makes per film or per episode, but he's worth his weight in gold!

  3. I wondered what he makes per film or episode. Some actors make so much for a film or TV show, it is hard to grasp that kind of money.

  4. Good question. I'd like to know that, too. I don't think money is such a big issue with Vincent, aside from the fact that he has a family to support and he is a successful working actor. God bless him.

  5. I don't think money is a big issue either, have to support a family of course, but he doesn't seem at all to be extravagant like some stars with all their fancy big homes and jewelry and clothing. One of the things I like about him is that he seems down to earth and material objects don't seem as important like with some people.

  6. Very true. Vincent said that he doesn't have a press agent, doesn't go to Hollywood parties, and does the most boring things imaginable. He basically hangs out with his kids when he's not working. Cool.
